Pelicans Landing's WLAN service requires that you use a unique user name and password to access the service. The user name and password is either automatically generated when purchasing and access ticket or by other means as arranged with Red Engine and its contractors. Pelicans Landing's WLAN service logs your MAC address and assigned IP address for internal accounting purposes. The IP address is normally dynamically assigned when you start using the service and is generally not related to you or your computer beyond the use of the service. The MAC address is normally unique to your network adapter and stored in the adapter's hardware. The MAC address is generally not related to you or your personal information.
Pelicans Landing's WLAN service may store pre-defined service account information including user name and password (encrypted) and MAC or IP addresses defined in Access Control Lists (ACLs). For internal accounting purposes the service maintains a log that binds a user name to an IP address and a MAC address. The log also contains time stamps corresponding to login and logout dates and times. For its internal operation the service will also maintain a table that maps internal IP addresses to external IP addresses. This is referred to as the Network Address Translation (NAT) table and it is not permanently stored or logged.
